About Kennebec

Daniela is the founder and owner of Kennebec, Inc. She grew up in Cologne, Germany and lived in various parts of Europe and the United States. During that time she became pen pals with her future husband whom she married in 1989. After moving to the United States she went back to school and earned a Computer Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh. After being employed and being a consultant for a few years she started Kennebec, Inc. in 1999. She was soon joined by her husband Ron to design, develop, test, and implement several large simulation systems for Airport People Mover Systems around the world (Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Madrid, Dallas, San Francisco, etc.)

In 2002 by a chance encounter, Kennebec entered the medical market. During that time she became very interested in how data from electronic medical devices can be presented to doctors and patients so that patients understand what the doctor is seeing and for the doctor to quickly visualize loss in function. She has ever since been closely working with Hoggan Health as well Dr. Gregg Friedman to redesign their functional assessment system.

What first started as a side-business has grown into a full-time endeavor. Now offering wireless devices, excellent customer service, and a system that is easy-to-use Proof Preferred has all the right components for medical insurance reimbursement, proving medical necessity as well as documenting loss and change in function.
